Welcome to Zu Zu Collection

At the high end of wedding dress-making pleasing the client is paramount

She said truly, “My philosophy in doing this business is to give customers satisfaction.” “Sometimes I come across customers who are very fussy even about small things. In such situations I never argue with them but make a challenge to myself instead. I make every effort until I please the customer. “Usually I win them over,” she explained.

Ma May Moe Phyu, addressed by family members and close friends as Myintzu, has her fashion shop on Inya Road, a chic avenue of Yangon. She has eighteen staff and has been in the business for 20 years and terms herself “Creator of Modern and traditional Wedding Dress.” To back up her skills she has received training on fashion design in Japan and Fashion Design Courses at Parson School of Design ( New York )

“My hobby of creating beautiful fashionable clothes has driven me to become a professional in the field. “ The clothes I design must be fashionable and decent-looking,” she said. Most of her clientele are ladies – women who are about to be married, business types and foreign diplomats.

Myintzu says in order to create the best result customers have to give her enough time so she is able to devote the time and energy necessary for a truly professional result. “I usually request a customer to collect her dress, especially wedding dress, only after two or three months of order because I want to make sure that everything is well done and that she gets the best,” she pointed out.

She also specializes in Myanmar Traditional dress (Htaing-ma-thein), a hip-length jacket usually worn by ladies during the eras of Myanmar kings. Nowadays, it is worn by dancers, and ladies during their wedding. It usually takes three or four weeks to make one. She also gives advice to her clients who want to have fashionable clothes made of traditional fabrics.
